This is VIE-DOS 1.0.0, the first full release of VIE-DOS. Finally, after over a week of daily test builds, a safe, stable, and mature version of VIE-DOS is out. VIE-DOS 1.0.0 has quite a lot of differences and new features as shown in the changelog in the information tab in the boot menu, but by far the most exciting new feature is the introduction of The VIE-DOS Programme Launcher & The VIE-DOS Programme Library! From now on, every version of VIE-DOS will have support for VIE-DOS Programmes (.vpl files (standing for "VIE-DOS Programme Library") only from this official library) which you can download from The VIE-DOS Programme Library - think of it a bit like App Store or Google Play Store. And if you have a programme you'd like to release onto the library, there is a form for you to fill out. The library might be a bit small and limited now, but we will continue adding programmes, and with the help of our amazing community, we can turn the library into something great. We built the launcher's algorithm in a way that even programmes that are made in 5 years time can still run perfectly in this version. Doesn't matter what version you're running, if it has the launcher, it can run a programme from the library. There's no other super major changes other than that because we wanted to focus on the launcher and library for the official release, since what's a good OS without some games and more options?
