This is VIE-DOS 5 Version 2350, the second version of VIE-DOS 5. VIE-DOS 5 is a continuation of VIE-DOS 3.0 which also includes finalised experimental features from the VIE-DOS 4 experimental builds. This update is a fairly minor one, including some bug fixes and small design tweaks, an updated boot system that checks if any critical system files are missing - a feature originally introduced in VIE-DOS 2.4 Walrus but removed after the release of VIE-DOS 3.0 / VIE-DOS Anniversary Edition. And if you have any missing files, or if there's any errors while you use VIE-DOS, you will now see a crash screen which provides you with an error code which you can then input into a form you get redirected to in order to get support from us. Starting now, we want our users to have the best possible experiences with VIE-DOS, which means we now collect data for analytical purposes. However privacy is of utmost importance to us, meaning that at the moment we only collect extremely small amounts of data per session, and no data collected is linked to your VIE-DOS Profile, Windows computer / files / account, or any personal information such as device information, addresses, et cetera. If you need to know more about exactly what data we collect, go to the VIE-DOS Files app, type "/open" hit enter and then enter the following path: internal\data\system\yourdata.txt - this will provide you with a very detailed explanation as to what data is being collected and why its being collected, and what rights you have with the data we collect. In future versions of VIE-DOS, we plan to explore ways to give you more power over what data you are willing to let us collect and what data you would like to keep to yourself, as at the end of the day it's only used to make your experience on VIE-DOS even better.
